Swift ParcelDrop, a solution for e-tailers, bulk mailers and business customers developed by Ascent Software and adapted for MaltaPost, has been selected as one of the finalists for the Best B2B Application Award at this year’s MCA eBusiness Awards.
As the internet economy proliferates, companies who need to deliver parcels and packets on a regular basis are creating queues at postal offices as well as mail and parcel centres in order to send goods to their customers. Batches of packets and parcels need to be individually processed and then paid for while other customers wait in queues.
Swift ParcelDrop offers online capabilities to bulk customers allowing them to lodge all their mail items online, print all the required documentation, effect online payments, request pickup or drop-off and do all of this in the comfort of their own home or office. The portal also provides these customers with the facility to integrate and push orders and pull tracking information for display on their own websites or back-office systems.
About MCA eBusiness Awards
The Best B2B Application Award seeks to reward the application that, in the opinion of the adjudication committee, best exploits information and communication technology to extend the traditional business-to-business operations with an integrated, online, ‘click-and-order’ counterpart which, however, operates in a highly dynamic and competitive marketspace. Each finalist application will be judged on the basis of Value Added, Innovation, Security, User Experience, Integration and Functionality, amongst other criteria.
The MCA Awards were established in 2011 with the aim of promoting the most innovative initiatives in the domain of eBusiness, and to spread awareness about the role of web-based technologies in addressing social and economic concerns. Ascent Software and MaltaPost have been a previous recipient of these awards when in 2016 they won the award for best eCommerce website for MaltaPost’s SendOn Portal.
The MCA eBusiness Awards 2017 ceremony will take place on the 28th March 2018 at the Mediterranean Conference Centre.
